Improving the Sustainability of Urban Water Management through Innovative Groundwater Recharge System (GRS)

چکیده

Negative impacts of groundwater overuse have always been one the problems modern cities in arid and semi-arid regions; rapid population growth climate change also exacerbated these many areas. One best approaches to deal with phenomena (soil subsidence, decline quality, seawater intrusion) is artificially recharge water into aquifers raise level. In this paper, an innovative solution called Groundwater Recharge Systems (GRS) proposed high efficiency, low cost, fast implementation capability address problems. The has being constructed urban environments without need allocate any spacious land or use sophisticated technologies. study implementing systems area showed that performance system, even worst-case scenarios, will be very significant considering such as level rise precipitation.
